Course Curriculum

Module 1

Foundations of Samudrika Shastra

Before reading a single line, we need to understand what Samudrika Shastra actually is, why Vedic tradition treats the hand as a map of a person's nature, and a few ground rules — like which hand to read — that shape every lesson that follows.

Samudrika Shastra is the traditional Vedic science of reading the body — and most famously, the hand — to understand a person's character, tendencies, and life patterns. Unlike Western palmistry, which developed largely through Greek and Romani traditions, Samudrika Shastra grew out of the same Vedic worldview that produced astrology (Jyotish) and Ayurveda.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — What Is Samudrika Shastra? Origins & Philosophy

Lesson 2 — The Hand as a Cosmic Map

Lesson 3 — Right Hand vs Left Hand — Which One Do You Read?

Module 2

Hand Shapes & Elements

Before looking at a single line, a trained eye reads the overall shape, texture, and proportion of the hand — the broad-strokes assessment that frames everything more detailed that follows.

You will learn the four elemental hand types — Earth, Air, Fire, and Water — and how to identify which one dominates in any hand you examine. You will discover how skin texture, color, and flexibility add layers of meaning to that first impression. And you will learn how palm proportions and first impressions set the stage for everything that follows in a reading.

By the end of this module, you will be able to form a reliable first impression of any hand — before you ever look at a single line or mount.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — The Four Elemental Hand Types

Lesson 2 — Skin Texture, Color, and Flexibility

Lesson 3 — Palm Proportions and First Impressions

Module 3

The Seven Mounts

The mounts are the raised cushions of flesh at the base of each finger and around the edge of the palm. This module maps all seven, and teaches you how to assess whether each one is strong, balanced, or underdeveloped.

You will learn the location and meaning of the Mount of Jupiter, Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon, and the two Mars mounts. You will discover how to assess mount strength — whether a mount is raised, flat, or depressed — and what each condition means for the person's temperament.

By the end of this module, you will be able to identify all seven mounts on any hand and read their relative development with confidence.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — Mapping the Mounts: Jupiter, Saturn, Sun, Mercury

Lesson 2 — Mapping the Mounts: Venus, Moon, Mars

Lesson 3 — Reading Mount Strength: Raised, Flat, or Depressed

Module 4

The Major Lines

This is the heart of any palm reading. This module covers the four major lines in depth — Life, Head, Heart, and Fate — including how to judge their length, depth, and curvature.

You will learn the true meaning of the Life Line — not lifespan, but vitality and life's intensity. You will discover how the Head Line reveals intellectual style and decision-making patterns. You will explore the Heart Line and what it reveals about emotional life and the capacity to love. And you will understand the Fate Line — its presence, absence, and what it means for a person's sense of direction and purpose.

By the end of this module, you will be able to read the four major lines with confidence and clarity.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — The Life Line: Vitality and Life's Journey

Lesson 2 — The Head Line: Intellect and Decision-Making

Lesson 3 — The Heart Line and Fate Line

Module 5

Minor Lines, Special Marks & Signs

Beyond the four major lines, the palm carries a rich vocabulary of secondary lines and small symbolic marks. This module covers the most commonly encountered ones, and how each modifies the area it appears on.

You will learn about the Sun Line, Marriage Lines, and Children Lines — and how to interpret them for a modern audience. You will discover special lines like the Mystic Cross, the Girdle of Venus, Travel Lines, and the Health Line. And you will master the shared vocabulary of signs and symbols — stars, crosses, islands, triangles, squares, and grilles — that can appear on any line or mount, meaningfully shifting their interpretation.

By the end of this module, you will be able to spot and interpret minor lines and marks with confidence and nuance.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — The Sun Line, Marriage Lines, and Children Lines

Lesson 2 — Special Lines: Mystic Cross, Girdle of Venus, Travel & Health Lines

Lesson 3 — Signs and Symbols: Stars, Crosses, Islands, Triangles, Grilles

Module 6

Fingers, Thumb & Practical Reading

This closing module covers the fingers and thumb in detail, then brings every previous module together into a structured method for conducting a complete, ethical reading.

You will learn the planetary ruler and meaning of each finger — Jupiter (index), Saturn (middle), Sun (ring), and Mercury (little) — and how relative finger length shifts interpretation. You will discover the thumb's unique role as the seat of will and logic, divided into two phalanges. And you will bring everything together into a consistent, ethical reading sequence — from first impression to final synthesis.

By the end of this module, you will be ready to conduct a full Vastu-style palmistry consultation with confidence, clarity, and integrity.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — The Four Fingers and Their Planetary Rulers

Lesson 2 — The Thumb: Will, Logic, and the Phalanges

Lesson 3 — Conducting a Reading: Method, Ethics, and Synthesis
