Course Curriculum

Module 1

Origins, Philosophy & Core Principles of Vastu Shastra

Every system of design rests on a worldview. Before we look at directions, rooms, or remedies, this module builds the philosophical foundation that everything else in this course stands on: what Vastu Shastra actually is, the five elements it is built from, and the sacred grid that gives the whole system its shape.

Vastu Shastra is not a collection of isolated rules to memorize. It is a single, interconnected system — and this module introduces you to its inner logic. You will learn where Vastu comes from, why the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space) matter, and how the Vastu Purusha Mandala serves as the blueprint for every Vastu-guided structure.

By the end of this module, you will understand the philosophical lens through which every room placement, direction, and remedy in the course should be understood.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — What Is Vastu Shastra? History, Origins, and Connection to Sacred Architecture

Lesson 2 — The Five Elements — Panchabhuta and Universal Balance

Lesson 3 — The Vastu Purusha Mandala — The Cosmic Energy Grid

Module 2

Directions, Energies, and the Eight Zones

With the philosophy in place, this module turns to the practical backbone of every consultation: the eight directions, their ruling deities and planets, and how to translate that wheel of meaning onto a real floor plan.

You will learn the Ashtadik — the eight directional zones — and the Dikpala (guardian deities) who govern each one. You will discover how the Navagraha (nine celestial bodies) correlate with each direction, adding a planetary layer of meaning to every zone. And most importantly, you will learn the practical sequence of mapping energy zones onto a floor plan — a skill you will use in every single consultation you conduct.

By the end of this module, you will be able to read a floor plan through a Vastu lens, identifying which rooms fall into which zones and flagging irregularities such as extensions and cuts.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — The Eight Directions (Ashtadik) and Their Ruling Deities

Lesson 2 — Planetary Influences and Direction Correlations

Lesson 3 — Mapping Energy Zones in a Home or Building

6 lessons

Module 3

Site Selection, Plot Shape, and Land Analysis

Good Vastu starts before the first wall goes up. This module covers how to evaluate raw land — shape, slope, orientation, soil, and surroundings — the foundation everything else in a project is built on.

You will learn which plot shapes are most favorable in Vastu, why slope matters, and how to identify common plot defects such as cuts and extensions. You will also discover traditional soil testing methods and how to read a site's surrounding environment for potential energetic influences.

By the end of this module, you will be able to walk onto any piece of land and evaluate its Vastu potential — identifying both strengths and areas that may need correction.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — Choosing an Auspicious Plot — Shape, Slope, Orientation

Lesson 2 — Common Plot Defects and Their Effects

Lesson 3 — Soil Testing, Surroundings, and Site Energy Reading

6 lessons

Module 4

Vastu for the Home — Room by Room

This is the module most clients are waiting for: practical, room-by-room guidance for where to place the entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, and everything in between — and why each placement follows directly from the principles in Modules 1, 2, and 3.

You will learn the ideal placement for every room in a home — from the main entrance and living room to the kitchen, dining area, pooja room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and staircases. You will understand why each room belongs where it does, and how to work with existing layouts when the ideal isn't possible.

By the end of this module, you will be able to walk through any home and instantly assess whether each room is in its ideal zone — and what to recommend if it isn't.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — Main Entrance, Living Room, and Common Areas

Lesson 2 — Kitchen, Dining, and Pooja Room

Lesson 3 — Bedrooms, Bathrooms, and Staircases

6 lessons

Module 5

Vastu Doshas, Remedies, and Balancing Techniques

Not every property arrives perfectly aligned — most don't. This module covers how to identify a Vastu dosha (imbalance), and how to recommend a tiered set of remedies, from structural to purely symbolic, suited to each client's budget and constraints.

You will learn to identify the most common doshas — Brahmasthan obstruction, northeast dosha, southwest dosha, main door dosha, and more. You will discover non-structural remedies using colors, objects, mirrors, and plants. And you will explore yantras, pyramids, and other energy-balancing tools that have become especially popular in urban spaces where structural change isn't feasible.

By the end of this module, you will be able to walk into any property, identify its doshas, and offer clients a clear, tiered set of recommendations — from structural corrections to symbolic remedies — that respects both their budget and their goals.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — Identifying Common Vastu Doshas

Lesson 2 — Non-Structural Remedies — Colors, Objects, Mirrors, Plants

Lesson 3 — Yantras, Pyramids, and Energy-Balancing Tools

Module 6

Vastu for Modern & Professional Life

The final module brings Vastu into the spaces most clients actually live and work in today — apartments, offices — and closes with a practical, ethical framework for anyone who wants to take this knowledge into real client consultations.

You will learn how to adapt Vastu principles to apartment living, where the focus shifts entirely to interior layout, furniture placement, and relative Vastu. You will discover how commercial Vastu applies the same logic to offices and businesses — from the owner's cabin to the cash counter. And you will explore the ethical framework that separates a genuine practitioner from a fear-based consultant, including the five stages of a professional consultation and paths for continuing education.

By the end of this module, you will be ready to conduct a full Vastu consultation — from site visit to written report — with confidence, clarity, and integrity.

This module contains three lessons:

Lesson 1 — Vastu for Apartments and High-Rise Living

Lesson 2 — Vastu for Offices and Commercial Spaces

Lesson 3 — Becoming a Practitioner — Ethics, Consultations, and Next Steps
